An evening after the lights
A cup of tea after the pandal walk.
Sometimes the quietest part of an outing begins after we get home.
From the lights to your lane
Once you leave the pandals' lights and sounds, your own lane can feel different. A little while ago there was bustle everywhere; now you can hear your footsteps clearly. The celebration has not ended. Its colour is simply leaving the crowd and settling in your mind.
Pausing over chai
When you get home, make a cup of chai and choose one small scene from today's walk. Perhaps a colour in the lights, a turn in the road or the smile of someone walking beside you. Not every detail needs a photograph. Some moments sit well in memory, much like holding a warm cup in both hands.
One song, your own memory
When the noise has fallen behind, a familiar song can gently complete the evening. “Pyar Diwana Hota Hai” is today's listening choice; think of it as company for your chai, rather than a claim about pandal tradition. Your own evening may have a different song.
